About Me
I’m a self-taught sewist based in Cleveland, Ohio. My journey into reworking clothing began after I stumbled across a TikTok of someone transforming two thrifted North Face jackets into a one-of-a-kind pair of sweatpants. That video sparked something in me and made me want to learn how to do it myself.
Without hesitation, I ran to Michaels and bought what I thought was a sewing machine (which turned out to be a small mending machine). I picked up a couple of outdoor jackets from a thrift store and dove right in. I broke every needle, and eventually the machine itself, before boxing it up, returning it, and upgrading to the one I still use today.
From that point on, I was hooked. I became obsessed with reworking unique textiles and experimenting with different fabrics and silhouettes. Over time, I found my favorite medium: creating hoodies made from vintage tapestry blankets sourced from secondhand shops. As my skills grew, so did my confidence. I started selling my pieces at local Cleveland markets, where the encouragement and enthusiasm from shoppers inspired me to turn my passion into a real business and eventually, this website.
Every piece I make is one of one, never to be recreated. The materials I use (excluding custom orders) come exclusively from secondhand textiles found at thrift stores, vintage markets, estate sales, and garage sales. Each garment is deconstructed, cleaned, and harvested for fabric, ribbing, hoods, cuffs, waistbands, and logos. Those elements are then reimagined and pieced back together to create wearable art that tells a story.
Thank you for being here and supporting handmade, sustainable fashion. I hope you enjoy exploring my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
